He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Winborne Britton and Sadie Louise Banty Britton; his wife Janice Burgess Britton; and his siblings, Carlton Britton, Carolyn Briggs, Sybil Edwards and Susie Little.

He is survived by: his children, William Stanley Britton (Michelle), Lisa Ann Williams and Pamela Hope Hill (Keith); his grandchildren, Billy, Nate, Zach and Isabella; and his brother Bobby Britton (Lynne).
