He is survived by: his wife Shirley Moose Rockett; his daughters, Taska Rockett King (Kevin) of Pensacola, FL, Teirsa Rockett Lane (Kyle) of Conover and Tonya Rockett Whisnant (Calvin) of Newton; his brother-in-law Bill Frye of Conover; his grandchildren, John Logan Self, Brittany Lyalls, Paul William Lane (Beth), Courtney Marie Lane, Marcus Coley Self, Rev. Luke William Self (Dani), Hannah Collazo (Christian), Nikki Keller (Joe), Zac Whisnant, Carly and Austin King; and his great grandchildren, Ansley Logan Self, Levi William Self, Salem DeNelta Self, Colt Allyn Collazo, Lilah Skye Whisnant and Grant Nelson Keller of John's Lutheran Church.
