We are sad to announce that on December 8, 2020, at the age of 88, William Joseph Hasty of Conover, North Carolina, born in Atlanta, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Theodore Hasty and Martha Melitta Butzon; and his sister Beatrice Martha Favre. He is survived by: his wife Dorrie Hasty; his children, Holly Smith of Hickory, N. C., Joe (Nancy Hasty) of Morganton, N. C., Avery (Angela Hasty) of Hickory, N. C. and DeeAnne Langley of Fort Mill, S. C.; his grandchildren, Scott Hasty, Dawson Hasty, Carl Langley, Will Langley, Matthew Hasty, Caleb Hasty and Madilyn Hasty; his sister MaryLou Stephens (Dan Stephens) of Marietta, GA.; his brother-in-law Gregory Favre of Sacramento, CA; his niece Monica Kauppinen of Sacramento, CA; his great-nieces, Melitta Kauppinen of Long Beach, CA, Violet Favre, Sterling Stephens of Savannah, GA and AnnMarie of Savannah, GA; and his great-nephew Gilbert Stephens.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Saint Jude children's research hospital Memphis TN or to the Good Samaritan Fund First Presbyterian Church of Hickory.
