He is survived by: his wife Deborah Choate Beatty; his sons, Joseph of Conover, Rick Beatty of Conover and Joe Yelton of Hickory; and his brothers, James Beatty of Conover and Gary Beatty of Newton No. He is also survived by 3 Grandchildren.
