He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom Martin and Charlotte Newton Burgess; his wife Priscilla Hedrick Martin; and his brothers, Larry Martin and Douglas Martin.

He is survived by: his children, Janie Church (Norman) of Statesville, Darrell Martin (Kathy) of Conover and Rusty Martin; and his sister Wanda. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.
