He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond D. Setzer and Ruby Duncan Setzer; his son Eric Long Setzer; and his brother Ned Setzer. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Hollar Setzer; his children, David Setzer (Gina), Kelly Setzer and Beth Sims (Jody); his sister Joann Harper (Charles); his grandchildren, Austin Setzer, Megan Jorgesnen (CJ), Ethan Sims, Bailey Sims, Nate Misenheimer and Cori Setzer; and his great grandchildren, Hunter Jorgenson, Owen Jorgenson and Brynlee Granham.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 30th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ (217 2nd Ave NE, Conover, NC 28613). A funeral service was held on Sunday, March 30th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
