He was predeceased by: his parents, George Thomas and Annie Pearl Canipe Thomas; and his sister Melinda Lou Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Emiley Henson Thomas of Morganton; his children, John Causby of Morganton and Josie Reese (Clint) of Connelly Springs; his siblings, Richard Thomas (Kathy) and Maratha Thomas of Conover; and his grandchildren, Riley, Hailey Reese, Jayden and Bella Causby.
