Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Ray Edward Birchfield of Conover, North Carolina, who passed away at the age of 87, on June 12, 2022. He was predeceased by: his father Arnold R Birchfield. He is survived by: his wife Linda Cooper Birchfield; his son Jonathan Ray Birchfield (Dana); his brother Wilt "Bud" Birchfield (Vivian); and his brothers-in-law, Bruce Ogle (Janet Cooper) and Michael Dean Cooper (Drendle). He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family asks in lieu of flowers to consider a donation to First United Methodist Church of Conover or to the American Red Cross.
