She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Smith and Pearl W. Smith; and her siblings, Glenn Smith and Mary Sue Whitener. She is survived by: her daughters, Patty Little, Debra Hefner and Penny Miller (Ronnie); her brothers, Donald Smith and Jimmy Smith; her brother-in-law Gene Whitener; her sister Deanie Isenhour; her sister-in-law Betty Smith; her grandchildren, Christian Thomas, William Miller and Connie Miller; and her great grandchildren, Wesley Shook, Andrew Hefner (Ginni) and Christopher Thomas.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Grace Lutheran Church (4536 Hickory Lincolnton Hwy, Newton, NC 28658). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
