She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Pierce Barger and Dollie Maude Ramsey Barger; her husband James Eldon Hicks, Sr.; and her daughter Crystal Yolanda Hicks Dellinger. She is survived by: her brother Bobby Charles Barger; her daughter Heather Liame Hicks Friday (Burke); her grandchildren, Canzada of Japan, Brianna of Taylorsville, NC, Precious Melody Gilbert (Todd), Victor Justin Dellinger (Christy), Jamie Elizabeth Hicks and Jannah M. Hicks; and her adoptive son James E. Hicks, Jr. (Sally) of Conover, NC. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
