With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Peggy Jean (Bass) Eckard of Conover, North Carolina, born in Catawba, North Carolina, who passed away on August 25, 2023 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Elijah James. She is survived by: her children, Debra Eckard of Taylorsville, Donna Austin (Bobby) of Hickory, Roger Cornett (Janice) of Conover, Bobby Cornett of Conover and Marc Eckard of Conover; her sisters, Carolyn McGee of South Carolina and Bobbie Wilkerson of Arizona; her husband Ellis Eckard; and her daughter Elona McCaslin. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren.
