It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Norma Jean Yount of Conover, North Carolina, born in Catawba, North Carolina, who passed away on May 23, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Mitchell and Doris Flowers Mitchell Punch. She is survived by: her children, Michael Lee Yount, Jeffery Scott Yount and Vicky Jean Michael (Robert Michael); her granddaughters, Zowie Michael and Uma Yount; and her siblings, Dwight Huffstetler, Janet Sigmon, Diane Drum and Dwight Punch.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Carolina Caring of Newton in Norma's name.
