He was predeceased by: his parents, Orren Edward Doub and Mayola Katherine Griffin; his wife Joan Doub; his siblings, Orren Edward Doub, Calvin Doub and Hazel Williams; and his nephews, Orren Edward Doub Jr. and Keith Doub.
He is survived by: his children, David Gray Doub (Ginger) of Claremont, Sandra Docherty (Don) of Conover and Alice Marie Whitener (Kevin) of Lincolnton; his grandchildren, Michael Doub, Kelly Carpenter, Chad Bumgarner and Leah Whitener; his great grandchildren, Mikey Doub, Mahala Carpenter A. J. Whitener, Daisy Marie Whitener and Alexa Carpenter; his sister Lorraine Marovich (Rodie) of Winston Salem; and his sister-in-law Camella Doub of East Bend.
