He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy Ruth Mauney of Bessemer City; his daughter Margaret Elizabeth; and his brothers, Leiter Thomas and Charles Luther. He is survived by: his children, Monroe Pannell (Kathy Moose), Robert Pannell (Sherri Pannell) and Leah Martin (Tim Martin); his grandchildren, Meredith Moose Huret of Conover, Vance Moose of Conover, Coleman Pannell of Conover, Margaret Martin of Conover and Russell Pannell of Harrisburg; and his caregiver Kimberly Clark. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
