With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Martha Irene Johnston of Conover, North Carolina, who passed away on March 20, 2023 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Nathan Plyler and Mary Ratledge Plyler; her former husband Bobby Ray Sherrill; and her husband Roy Tuttle Johnston. She is survived by: her son Bobby Vance Sherrill (Kimberley Chambers Sherrill); and her siblings, James Plyler and Sarah Adams.
