He was predeceased by: his parent Noah Woodrow McGee; and his sister Sandi Petrovich. He is survived by: his parent Johnnie Jeanette Keener McGee; his uncle Joe McGee; his wife Terri Feimster McGee; his sons, Trace Baxter McGee of Blowing Rock, NC and Joshua Dean McGee of Charlotte, NC; his nephew Marcus Campbell Forsyth; his brothers, Woody McGee (Joyce) of Bethlehem, NC, Gary McGee (Susie) of Conover, NC and Neal McGee (Susan) of Catawba, NC; and also, White Pine and Building Specialties. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to: Friendship United Methodist Church, Christ Church in Statesville, NC and Palliative Care of Catawba County.
