She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Hefner and Cora Herman Hefner; and her sister Judy Hefner Hollar. She is survived by: her husband Arlie Surrett; her children, Shannon Lail of Conover and Jennifer Lail (Wayne Hart) of Granite Falls; her siblings, Gary Hefner (Joyce) of Conover and Patsy Pope (Johnny) of Conover; and her grandchildren, Marella Morgan, Sierra Lail, Tyler Tallant and Zachary Lail.
