She is survived by: her son Jimmy Purgeson (Kim Smith) of Conover; her sister Portia Lutz of Maiden; her grandchildren, Zack Smith of Lenoir, Abby Townsend of Granite Falls and Donna Coleman of Newton; her great grandchildren, Caleb Coleman of Newton and Nautia Yount of Newton; and her daughters-in-law, Betty Purgeson of Hildebran and Shelia Dowdy of Conover Numerous. She is also survived by Numerous nieces and nephews.
