He is survived by: his daughter Alisa "Lisa" Baird of Conover; his siblings, Roger Baird (Karen) of Boone, Larry Baird (Janet) of Boone, Jean Duncan of Hickory, Shirlee Lee of Hanibal, MO, Marlene Mast (Max) of Concord and Marie Anderson (Gary) of Vilas; his sister-in-law Jackie Baird of Hastings, MN; and his grandson John Brittain (Brittney) of Lincolnton.
