It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joe Frank James of Conover, North Carolina, who passed away on January 16, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carrice William and Susie Smith James; his wife Shirley Swink James; his sister Carrice Sue Deal; and his grandson William Andrew Hester.
He is survived by: his daughters, Glynis James of Lenoir and Kim James of Conover; his grandchildren, Jody Hudson, Jeremy Jerome, Melanie Hester-Sweet and Wesley Hester; and his great grandchildren, Amber Hudson, Jesse Hudson, Kaleigh Gragg, Hayden Nguyen, Zoey Hester and Ava Hester.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Bennett Funeral Service (7878 NC-16, Newton, NC 28658). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
