He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Leatherman; his children, Donnie Ray Leatherman (Eva) of Conover and Norma L. Kistler (Eddie) of Catawba; his siblings, Herman Leatherman of South Carolina, Tommy Leatherman of Lincolnton, Billy Leatherman of Lincolnton, Randy Leatherman of Vale and Coleen Blackwell of Vale; and his grandchildren, Shaylyn Ladd (Dusty) and Lincoln Hyatt.
