He was predeceased by: his father Bernard "Bill" Abner; and his sister Lori Jill Smith. He is survived by: his nephew Josh King; his sons, Daniel King (Brittney) and Billy Stidham; his grandchildren, Devin, Ashton, Kameron King, Kendra Faith and Kaylee Grace; and his siblings, Mike King (Diane), Barbara Hines, Brenda Dellinger (Ray), Pat McKinney, Sandy Bryant (Johnny), Leisa Peck (Don), Robin Turner Lydia (Thomas) and Connie Ellington of South Carolina. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Salvation Army Hickory at PO Box 1167 Hickory, NC 28603-1167.
