She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Avery and Willie Edith Spencer Ballard; and her siblings, Jerry Ballard, Claude Ballard, Gayle Singleton, Wilma Crouse and Lazette Traynor.
She is survived by: her children, Cathy Nguyen (Phil), Lynn Barajas (Jose), Charlotte Bass (Jimmy Smevog) and Jeff Hunsucker (Amanda); her grandchildren, Jessica Wilborn (Kevin), Jennifer Bass, Johnna Dickinson, Meah Towhey (Ben) and Will Dickinson; and her great grandchildren, Jensen Bass and Kingston Wilborn. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels of Catawba County.
