He is survived by: his parents, Werner Keil and Barbara Ewing Keil of Palm Harbor, FL.; his wife Kim Adkins Keil; his daughter Hallie Keil of Conover; his stepchildren, Christopher Bumgarner of Hudson and Jordan Bumgarner of Granite Falls; his sister Anna Greer of Lemont, IL; his nieces, Mandy Murphy and Alyssa; and his nephew Aaron Greer.

Visitation was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Bennett Funeral Service (7878 NC-16, Newton, NC 28658). A celebration of life was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
