He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Sr. Belcher and Dolly Miller Belcher; his wives, Marilyn Nancy Dunham and Barbara Marilyn Schnopp; and his siblings, Laura Bellinger (Chicky), Roy Jr., William and Richard.
He is survived by: his children, Brenda Jean Wise of Norfolk, VA, Mary Elizabeth Wallace (Jody Hinson) of Connelly Springs, NC., John James of Monument, Mark Lawrence of Montpelier, VT, James Edward Jr. (Crystal) of Bethlehem, NC and Geoff Ernest (Emily) of Raleigh, NC.; his grandchildren, Tommy Belcher (Melissa), Nicholas Belcher of Colorado Springs, James Belcher, Tara Smith of Colorado Springs, Kacey Bowman (Brian) of Taylorsville, NC, Addison and Kenley Belcher of Raleigh, NC.; and his nieces and nephews, Carole Forward of Hinsdale, MA, Becky Belcher of Pueblo, CO, Robin McCleery (Jim) of Waverly, OH, Linda, Lori, William, Mark, Rick and Ross.
