He is survived by: his wife Marvene Curtis; his children, Renee Detter (Rick) of Taylorsville, Lynn Rogers (Buck) of Icard, Amy Teague (Nelson) of Hickory and Tony Curtis of Hickory; his grandchildren, Mandy Crooks, Lyndsey Watson and Allegra Lynch; and his great grandchildren, Landon Crooks, Tristan Crooks and Carsyn Lynch.
