It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Homer Eugene Self of Conover, North Carolina, who passed away on October 5, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Dwight Self; his wife Myrtle Shook Self; and his siblings, Larry Self, Roy Self, Jerry Self, Charles Ray Self and Mavis Bumgarner.

He is survived by: his sons, Donald Self (Julie), Eddie Self (Brenda), Tim Self (Susan), Allen Self (Debbie), Daniel Self (Geraldine) and Jay Self (Jane); and his siblings, Kenneth Self, Jo Ann Elmore and Diane Loftin. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
