She was predeceased by: her mother Mary Lail; her husband David Kenneth Terry of Conover; her brothers, Sam Lail and Clifford Lail; her siblings-in-law, Perry Sayles and Gloria Lail; and her close friend Joe Marion.

She is survived by: her children, Sharon Dellinger of Conover and Chad Terry (Marybeth) of Winston Salem; her grandchildren, Cole Robinson, Colin Robinson, Morgan Dellinger of Conover, Laura Terry, Kathryn Terry and Watson Terry of Winston-Salem; her siblings, David Lail of Granite Fall, Harold Lail (Dot) of Claremont, Joyce Lail of Granite Falls and Mary Sayles of Bethlehem; her sister-in-law Shirley Lail of Bethlehem; and her caregivers, Frances, Tasha and Helen.
