As we bid Harold Lee farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Eugene Thornburg and Katherine Reese Thornburg; his wife Etta Ruthie Thornburg; and his sister Nancy Thornburg. He is survived by: his close friend Harold; his children, Laurie Cashion (Michael) of Conover and Jeff Thornburg (Kim) of Conover; his grandson Lee Thornburg of Conover; and his brother Wayne Thornburg (Virginia) of Conover.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:45 PM at the First Methodist Church of Conover (410 1st Ave N, Conover, NC 28613). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
