With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Geneva Whisnant Johnson of Conover, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 7, 2024 at the age of 85. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Whisnant and Louise Keller Whisnant; her husband James Ray Johnson; her son Kevin Dale Johnson; and her siblings, David, Roy Whisnant and Carol Eckard.

She is survived by: her children, Teresa Raelynn Hollifield (Ken) of Hickory and James Timothy Johnson (Teresa) of Lebanon, OH; her grandchildren, Jason Cole of Longview, NC, Jared Cole (Kristin) of Statesville, NC, Erica Conner (Cody) of Hudson, NC and Adam Johnson (Amanda) of Maineville, OH; her siblings, Carl Whisnant, Jr. (Susan) of Hickory, NC and Linda Buff (Dale) of Hickory, NC; her sister-in-law Willie Robbins of Conover, NC; and her daughter-in-law Carla Johnson of Newton, NC. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made in her honor to Sandy Ridge Wesleyan Church, 2330 16th Street NE, Hickory, NC 28601.
