It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gail Hill Abernethy of Conover, North Carolina, who passed away on March 18, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Honor Thomas and Ruby Irene Peterson Hill; and her sister Brenda Louise Hill. She is survived by: her daughters, Emily Gallo (Matthew) of Stuart, FL and Allison Huffman of Newton, NC.; her grandchildren, Kendal, Ryder, Samuel and Josephine; and her brother Michael Hill of Marietta, GA.. She is also survived by her family, friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Senior Nutrition Services of Catawba County.
