He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Bain and Vivian Church Dagenhart; his son Alan Dagenhart; and his sisters, Wahtula Sloan and Cleda Carson.
He is survived by: his children, Steven Dagenhart (Lisa) of Stony Point and Donna Lovill (Johnny) of Concord; his granddaughters, Amy Dagenhart (Brooke) of Morganton and Angela Suazo (Jose) of Metairie, LA; his sisters, Verna Mills, Theresa Neel (Keith) of Wilkesboro and Cecelia Goodman of Cleveland; and his close friends, Cindy Campbell, Keith Lowman, Tim and Linda Lowman. He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
