He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Pope and Louise Pope; his wife Marie Pope; and his brother Terrell Pope. He is survived by: his daughter Donna Ross; his brother Larry Pope (Pauline); his grandchildren, Brittni Bowman, Ethan Bowman and Colter Bowman (Stephanie); and his great grandchildren, Caleb Flores and Briella Bowman.

A funeral service was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Drum Funeral Home Chapel (509 1st Ave S, Conover, NC 28613).
