It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of David Whisnant Jr. of Conover, North Carolina, who passed away on April 29, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, David Monroe Whisnant, Sr. and Odessa Gantt Whisnant. He is survived by: his wife Judy Whisnant of Conover; his children, Eric Whisnant (Jackie) of Hickory, Douglas Whisnant (Rosanna) of Taylorsville, Jennifer Munday (Matthew) of Lincolnton and Tracy Lamonds (Kevin) of Mt. Gilead; and his siblings, Malinda Leatherman (Philip) of Hickory and Robert Whisnant (Caroline) of Newton. He is also survived by his thirteen grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Friendship United Methodist Church, Backpacks for Kids Foundation, or the American Red Cross.
