He was predeceased by: his parents, James Leonard and Ora Lee Fann Williams. He is survived by: his wife Dorotha Williams; his daughter Lori D'Amico (Gregory); his grandchildren, Holly D'Amico, Sean D'Amico and Krystal Twardzik (Ken); his brother Leonard Williams; and also Brenda McLean.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Catawba or Burke Counties in Carson's name.
