She was predeceased by: her parents, James Albert and Daisy Honeycutt Revels; her husband Thomas Edwin Kearns; and her siblings, J. W. Revels, Dorothy Ollis and Betty Brooks.
She is survived by: her son Robert Kearns; her brother-in-law Hubert Brooks; and also Kim Britt. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Catawba Funeral Home (3060 US Hwy 70 SE, Hickory, NC 28602). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Woodlawn Baptist Church of Conover in Barbara's name.
