He is survived by: his children, Marion Dixon (Sally) of Morganton, Brenda Gibson (Chris) of Hickory and Nancy Boggs (Kevin) of Hickory; his grandchildren, Jeff Rikard, Kelly Rikard and Jarrod Dixon; and his great grandchildren, Tyler Rikard and Reagan Rikard.
