He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Benjamin Burr and Queenie Clontz Burr; and his siblings, Inez Blalock, Suzanna Thompson, Alline Smith, Louise Hudson, Clara Hatley, Jessie Lisk, Rose Hutchinson, Jane Crump, Sammy Burr and Donald Burr.

He is survived by: his wife Ann Talbert Burr; his children, Ben Burr (Kim) and Betsy B. Biggers (Mike); his grandchildren, Scott Burr, Thomas Burr, Melinda Franklin, Megan Burr (Hunter Kicklighter), Will Biggers (Lenora), Scott Biggers and Katie Smith (Chris); his great grandchildren, Michael, Austin Smith and Everett Biggers; his sister-in-law Sandy Burr; and his close friend Gary Drinnen (late Billie).
