She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Jefferson Drake and Melissa Helms Drake Stallings; her husband Vance Horton; her son Rick Horton; and her siblings, Avery, Claude, C. J. Drake, Jr., Lury Connell, Bertie Robbins, Velma Hammonds and Ruby Morgan.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Thornley of Charleston, Pat Williams (Taffy) of Concord and Vance Horton, Jr. (Brenda) of Concord; her grandchildren, Nicole Rubin (Amir), Damon Wilson (David Van Lear), Chris Horton (Amy), Melissa Horton, Mitzi Williams (Peter) and Mandy Jamison (Jeff); and her great grandchildren, Naomi, Ben Rubin, Presley Horton, Owen, Maya, Liv Jamison, Bronx and Stevie Peng.
Memorials may be made to the church.
