It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Royce Van Thomason of Concord, North Carolina, who passed away on December 16, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Spencer Thomason and Edith Shuping Thomason; his grandfather Poppy; and his brother Nathan Thomason of Salisbury. He is survived by: his grandchildren, James Franklin Draper III, Carson Thomas Draper and Kinsley Thomason Santana; his wife Carolyn Trexler Thomason; his children, Spencer Trexler Thomason (Patricia) of Boilng Springs, SC, Wendi Thomason (Roberto Santana) of Concord and Leigh Ann Thomason Draper (James) of Cary; and his brothers, Glenn Thomason (Dorothy) of Salisbury and Larry Thomason (Brenda) of Salisbury.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County or Trinity United Methodist Wesley Fellowship fund.
