He is survived by: his wife Joyce Marie Buchanan Smith; his children, Glenn Smith (Angella) of Kannapolis and Lana Hinnant of China Grove; and his siblings, Corbett Smith (Jarry) of Kannapolis, Gerald Smith (Carolyn) of Kannapolis, Lowell Smith (Phyllis) and Virginia Purdy (Bud) of Concord. He is also survived by his eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
