We are sad to announce that on January 11, 2025, at the age of 88, Robert Alan Gwaltney of Concord, North Carolina, born in Statesville, North Carolina passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Robert Alan Gwaltney to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Zim Gwaltney and Haleen Gwaltney; and his siblings, James Henry Gwaltney, Richard Clarke Gwaltney and Edna Patricia Jerome.
He is survived by: his wife Renda Griffin Gwaltney; his children, Billy Gwaltney (Ann Marie) and Caroline Vergato (David); his grandchildren, Ava Gwaltney, Gavin Gwaltney, Luke Vergato and Clara Vergato; and his siblings, Gene Gwaltney and Elizabeth Tilley. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Central Church (5301 Sardis Rd, Charlotte, NC 28270). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
