It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard Gardner of Concord, North Carolina, who passed away on December 5, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Gardner and Ellen Gardner; his former wife Carole; and his sister Marcy. He is survived by: his wife Diana Gardner; and his children, Lynette Gardner (Mike Abbott), Elizabeth Gardner, Alain Gardner (Patti), Peter Gardner (Songhee), Karen Swanson (Michael Lombardo), Gary Swanson (Mary Beth), Melissa Gardner and Kathy O'Brien (Steve). He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
