He was predeceased by: his parents, Maude Porter and Robert Porter; his daughter Staci Porter; his siblings, Dorothy Bolden, Robert Porter Jr., Gladys Ruth, Bernard Porter, Leon Porter, Thelma Porter, Marian Sims and David Porter; and his son-in-law Keith Rodgers.
He is survived by: his wife Beverly; his children, Laquan Ismail (Audrey) and Lori Porter Mazard (Richard); his stepdaughters, Lynn Wilkinson (Tony), Jessica James and Erica Rogers; and his siblings, Carolyn Shipman, Ann Toney, Russel Porter and Donald Porter.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Wilkinson Funeral Home (100 Branchview Dr NE, Concord, NC 28025). A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the same location.
