He is survived by: his parents, Everett J. Childers and Sara Lynne Sloop Childers; his children, Andrew Lynn Childers, Jessica Woodall (Justin) and Ashlyn Childers; his siblings, Todd Childers (Christina), Alan Childers and Robbie Childers Ruffin (Mike); and his friend Donna Tomberlin Childers. He is also survived by nieces, cousins.
Memorials may be made, in lieu of flowers, to First Presbyterian Church of Kannapolis, 201 Vance Street Kannapolis, North Carolina 28081 or Piedmont Residential Center (PRDC), PO Box 909, Concord NC 28026 as they provided compassionate care for Christopher.
