She was predeceased by: her parents, Emanuel Allen Brown and Annie Mae Miller Brown; and her husband James Herman Black. She is survived by: her children, Phyllisann D. Black of Washington, DC, James H. Black, Jr., Gregory D. Black and Gary D. Black; and her siblings, Peggy Brown of Lanham, MD, Romely Washington (Bill) of Kannapolis, NC and Emanuel Brown (Valerie) of Jonesville, NC. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Liberty Primitive Baptist Church (656 Central Dr NW, Concord, NC 28027). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
