She was predeceased by: her parents, Casper Owen Carriker Sr. and Mary Jane Cline Carriker; her husband Rudolph V. Blackwelder; and her siblings, Owen Carriker Jr., John Carriker and Elizabeth Carriker.
She is survived by: her children, Debbie Blackwelder Duke of Concord, NC and Tim Blackwelder (Doug Hyder) of Charlotte, NC; her grandchildren, Ed Duke Jr. (Wendy) of Mt. Pleasant, NC and Lisa Duke Mills (John) of Concord, NC; her great grandchildren, Brady and Colby Duke of Mt. Pleasant, NC; and her siblings, Sam Carriker (Diane) of Newport, NC, Jo Early (Ken) of Salisbury, NC, Jane Furr of Locust, NC, Rev. Jim Carriker (Bonnie) of Virginia Beach, VA, Pete Carriker (Nancy) of Concord, NC, Ken Carriker (Toni) of Thomasville, NC and Rena O'Daniel (Phillip) of Concord, NC. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:45 PM at the Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord (460 Branchview Dr NE, Concord, NC 28025). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
