In loving memory of Myrtle (Joy) Henderson Chafin (Concord, North Carolina), who departed this world on February 26, 2025 at the age of 88. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Henderson (Buddy) and Myrtle Yarborough Henderson Kroll; her husband Arnold Lee Chafin Sr.; her children, Belinda Chafin and Matthew Chafin; and her siblings, Ted, Elaine, Mary Ann and Faye.
She is survived by: her children, Cindy Andrews (Bob) of Concord, Frieda Rosemond (Joe) of Hillsborough, Caroline Propst of Concord, Sheila Haas (Hans) of Charlotte and Lee Chafin (Sarah) of Conway, SC; her grandchildren, Jeremy Andrews, Steven Andrews, Crystal Andrews, Brandy Horton, Robbie Horton, Aubrey Chafin, Tiffany Rasavong, Adam Rosemond, Tyler Propst, Lauren Propst, Baryn Haas, Gareth Haas, Jordan Murphy, Blake Haas, Brianne Haas, Garrett Karnap, Shelby Karnap and Mattie Genoe; and her sister Joan Murray of Barrington, IL.. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:20 AM at the Multiply Church (280 Concord Pkwy N #15, Concord, NC 28027). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:15 PM at the Carolina Memorial Park (601 Mt Olivet Rd, Concord, NC 28025).
