She was predeceased by: her parents, Sam H. Whittington, Sr. and Jessie Mills Whittington. She is survived by: her husband Floyd Carter, Sr.; her children, Vickie Cochran (Martin) of Concord, Floyd Carter, Jr. (Lou Ann) of Salisbury and Tim Carter (Stephanie) of Richfield; and her grandchildren, Austin, Lillian, Brandon, Blake and Charity. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
