He was predeceased by: his parents, L. C. "Tooney" Sherrill and Geraldine Ridenhour Sherrill; his grandparents, Lewis, Gertrude Crowell Ridenhour, Stonewall Jackson and Pauline Sullivan Sherrill; and his sister Jane Sherrill.
He is survived by: his wife Paula Sherrill; his son Josh Sherrill (Hunter); his brother Mark Sherrill (Brenda); his brothers-in-law, Randy Hill (Sylvia) and Mark Hill; and his niece Lauren Hill.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 26th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Rocky River Church (887 Pitts School Rd SW, Concord, NC 28027). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 26th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Rocky River Church (886 Pitts School Rd NW, Concord, NC 28027). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 26th 2024 from 2:15 PM to 2:45 PM at the Carolina Memorial Park (601 Mt Olivet Rd, Concord, NC 28025).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Rocky River Church at 887 Pitts School Rd, Concord, NC 28027, Hospice of Cabarrus County at 5003 Hospice Lane Kannapolis, NC 28081 or St. Jude's Children's Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 in Lewis's memory.
